ZAM ZAM WATER-A THOROUGH RESEARCH !!! AND ADDITIONAL INFO

We  came  here again to perform the Omrah, and I am reminded of the
wonders  of  Zam-zam.  Let  me  go  back to how it all started. In 1971, an
Egyptian  doctor  wrote to the European Press, a letter saying that Zam-zam water
was  not  fit  for drinking purposes. I immediately thought that this was just
a  form  of  prejudice  against  the  Muslims and that since his statement
was  based  on  the  assumption that since the Ka'aba was a shallow place
(below  sea  level) and located in the center of the city of Makkah, the
wastewater of the city collecting through the drains fell into well holding the water.
Fortunately,  the  news came to King Faisal's ears who got extremely
angry  and  decided  to  disprove  the Egyptian doctor's provocative statement.
He  immediately  ordered  the  Ministry  of  Agriculture and Water Resources
to  investigate  and send samples of Zam-zam water to European laboratories
for testing  the  potability  of  the  water.  The ministry then instructed
the Jeddah Power and Desalination Plant to carry out this task.

It  was  here  that  I  was  employed  as  a  desalting  engineer
(chemical  engineer)to  produce  drinking water from sea water). I was chosen to
carry out  this assignment. At this stage, I remember that I had no idea what
the well  holding  the  water looked like. I went to Makkah and reported to
the authorities at the Ka'aba explaining my purpose of visit.

They  deputed  a man to give me whatever help was required. When we
reached  the  well,  it was hard for me to believe that a pool of water, more like
a small  pond,  about  18  by 14 feet, was the well that supplied millions
of gallons  of  water every year to hajis ever since it came into existence
at the time of Hazrat Ibrahim A.S., many, many centuries ago.

I  started  my  investigations and took the dimensions of the well. I
asked  the  man  to  show  me  the  depth  of the well. First he took a shower
and descended  into  the  water.  Then he straightened his body. I saw that
the water level came up to just above his shoulders. His height was around
five feet,  eight inches. He then started moving from one corner to the other
in the  well  (standing all the while since he was not allowed to dip his
head into  the  water) in search of any inlet or pipeline inside the well to
see from  where  the water came in. However, the man reported that he could
not find any inlet or pipeline inside the well.

I  thought  of  another idea. The water could be withdrawn rapidly with
the help of a big transfer pump which was installed at the well for the
Zam-zam water storage tanks. In this way, the water level would drop enabling us
to locate the point of entry of the water.

Surprisingly,  nothing  was  observed during the pumping period, but I
knew that  this  was the only method by which you could find the entrance of
the water  to  the  well.  So  I decided to repeat the process. But this time
I instructed  the  man  to stand still at one place and carefully observe
any unusual  thing happening inside the well. After a while, he suddenly
raised his  hands  and  shouted,  "Alhamdollillah!  I  have  found it. The sand
is dancing  beneath  my  feet  as the water oozes out of the bed of the well."

Then  he  moved  around  the well during the pumping period and noticed
the same phenomenon everywhere in the well. Actually the flow of water into
the well  through  the  bed was equal at every point, thus keeping the level
of the  water  steady.  After I finished my observations I took the samples
of the  water  for  European laboratories to test. Before I left the Ka'aba,
I asked the authorities about the other wells around Makkah.

I  was  told  that these wells were mostly dry. When I reached my office
in Jeddah  I  reported my findings to my boss who listened with great
interest but  made  a  very  irrational  comment  that  the  Zam-zam  well  could
be internally  connected  to  the  Red Sea. How was it possible when Makkah
is about 75 kilometres away from the sea and the wells located before the
city usually  remains  dry?  The  results  of  the  water  samples tested by
the European  laboratories  and  the one We analysed in our own laboratory
were found to be almost identical.

The  difference  between  Zam-zam water and other water (city water) was
in the  quantity  of  calcium  and  magnesium  salts. The content of these
was slightly higher in zam-zam water. This may be why this water refreshes
tired hajis,  but  more  significantly, the water contains fluorides that have
an effective   germicidal  action.  Moreover,  the  remarks  of  the European
laboratories showed that the water was fit for drinking. Hence the
statement made by the Egyptian doctor was proved false.

When  this was reported to King Faisal he was extremely pleased and
ordered the  contradiction  of the report in the European Press. In a way, it was
a blessing that this study was undertaken to show the chemical composition
of the  water. In fact, the more you explore, the more wonders surface and
you find yourself believing implicitly in the miracles of this water that
Allah bestowed  as  a gift on the faithful coming from far and wide to the
        desert land for pilgrimage.

Let me sum up some of the features of zam-zam water.

This  well  has never dried up. On the contrary it has always fulfilled
the demand  for  water.  It has always maintained the same salt composition
and taste  ever  since  it  came into existence. Its potability has always
been universally  recognised  as  pilgrims  from all over the world visit
Ka'aba every year for Hajj and umrah, but have never complained about it.
Instead, they  have  always  enjoyed  the  water  that  refreshes them.
Water tastes different at different places.

Zam-zam water's appeal has always been universal. This water has never
been chemically treated or chlorinated as is the case with water pumped into
the cities. Biological growth and vegetation usually takes place in most wells.

Do u know the miracles of zamzam?...?

        ZamZam water level is
        around 10.6 feet below the
surface. It is the miracle of
        Allah that when Zam Zam
        was pumped continuously
for more than 24 hours with
        a pumping rate of 8,000
        liters per second, water level
        dropped to almost 44 feet
        below the surface,

        BUT WHEN
        THE PUMPING WAS STOPPED,
        the level immediately
        elevated again to 13 feet
        after 11 minutes.
        8,000 liters per second
        means that
        8,000 x 60 = 480,000 liters
        per minute
        480,000 liters per minutes
        means
        that 480,000 x 60 = 28.8
        Million liters per hour
        And 28.8 Million liters per
        hour
        means that 28,800,000 x 24
= 691.2 Million liters per day
        So they pumped 690 Millions
liters of ZamZam in 24 hours,
but it was re-supplied in 11
        minutes only.

There are 2 miracles here, the
        first that ZamZam was re-
        filled immediately, & the
second is that Allah Holds the
        extra-ordinaril y powerful
        Aquifer for not throwing
        extra ZamZam out of the
        well, otherwise the world
        will SINK.

        It is the translation
        of the word ZamZam, which
        means Stop !!!!!!!!!!!!
        Stop !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! said by
        Hajirah Alaih As Salaam.

Zimam is an Arabic word, it is
the rope / REIN attached to
bridle or noseband & it is
used / pulled to stop the
        running animal.

        Zamzam water
has no colour or smell, but it
        has a distinct taste

This makes the water unpalatable owing to the growth of algae causing
        taste and odour problems.

But  in  the  case  of  the  Zam-zam  water  well, there wasn't any sign
of biological  growth. Centuries ago, Bibi Hajra A.S. searched desperately
for water  in the hills of Sufwa and Murwa to give to her newly born son Hazrat
Ismail  A.S.  As  she ran from one place to another in search of water,
her child  rubbed  his  feet against the sand. A pool of water surfaced, and
by the  grace  of  Allah,  shaped  itself  into a well which came to be called Zam-zam water.

Stroke has a new indicator

Stroke has a New Indicator They say if you email this to ten people, you stand a chance of saving one life. Will you send this along?Blood Clots/Stroke - They Now Have a Fourth Indicator, the Tongue

I will continue to forward this every time it comes around!

STROKE:
Remember the 1st Three Letters.....
S. T. R.

STROKE IDENTIFICATION:

During a BBQ, a woman stumbled and took a little fall. She assured everyone that she was fine (they offered to call paramedics) . . . she said she had just tripped over a brick because of her new shoes.

They got her cleaned up and got her a new plate of food. While she appeared a bit shaken up, Jane went about enjoying herself the rest of the evening.

Jane's husband called later telling everyone that his wife had been taken to the hospital - (at 6:00 PM Jane passed away.) She had suffered a stroke at the BBQ. Had they known how to identify the signs of a stroke, perhaps Jane would be with us today. Some don't die. They end up in a helpless, hopeless condition instead.

It only takes a minute to read this.

A neurologist says that if he can get to a stroke victim within 3 hours he can totally reverse the effects of a stroke...totally. He said the trick was getting a stroke recognized, diagnosed, and then getting the patient medically cared for within 3 hours, which is tough.

RECOGNIZING A STROKE

Thank God for the sense to remember the '3' steps - STR.
 Read and Learn!

Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer severe brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke.

Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple questions:

S *
Ask the individual to SMILE.

T *
Ask the person to TALK and SPEAK

A SIMPLE SENTENCE (Coherently)

(i.e. Chicken Soup)

R
*Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS.

If he or she has trouble with ANY ONE of these tasks, call emergency number immediatelyand describe the symptoms to the dispatcher.

New Sign of a Stroke -------- Stick out Your Tongue

NOTE: Another 'sign' of a stroke is this: Ask the person to 'stick' out his tongue. If the tongue is

'crooked', if it goes to one side or the other
that is also an indication of a stroke.

A cardiologist says if everyone who gets this e-mail sends it to 10 people; you can bet that at least one life will be saved.

I have done my part. Will you?

The wall has two sides

The wall has two sides- A MUST READ ARTICLE FOR EVERY ONE

Terrorism is certainly not a Muslim monopoly
B9FBA6F9757E43C49893E1663545EA8C@KadhemPCSWAMINATHAN S ANKLESARIA AIYAR (A Hindu)M

''All Muslims may not be terrorists, but all terrorists are Muslims..'' This comment, frequently heard after the Mumbai bomb blasts  implies that terrorism is a Muslim specialty, if not a monopoly. The facts are very different.
[
ALL CHRISTIAN or JEWISH  or MUSLIM PEOPLE ARE NOT BAD PEOPLE, BUT IT IS A FACT THAT ALL CHRISTIAN COUNTRIES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE MOST DEATHS WORLWIDE IN THE LAST 250 YEARS,  CAUSED BY DROPPING THE BIGGEST BOMBS IN THEIR ARSENAL. IN THE END IT WAS NOT THE LEADERS OF THESE COUNTRIES WHO PAID THE HEAVY PRICE, BUT THE CIVILIANS WORLDWIDE AND THEY STILL DO BACAUSE OF THE CRIMES OF LEADERS WHO COULD NOT THINK.
(BUSH AND BLAIR AND THE GANG - FEW EXCEPT THE NAZIS HAVE BEEN TRIED FOR THEIR WAR CRIMES AND CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY - THE US  LEADERSHIP AND THEIR SOLDIERS ARE STILL EXEMPT FROM SUCH CHARGES AT THE HAGUE TRIBUNAL TODAY) ]

First, there is nothing new about terrorism. In 1881, anarchists killed the Russian Tsar Alexander II and 21 bystanders. In 1901, anarchists killed US President McKinley as well as King Humbert I of Italy . World War I started in 1914 when anarchists killed Archduke Ferdinand of Austria . These terrorist attacks were not Muslim.

Terrorism is generally defined as the killing of civilians for political reasons. Going by this definition, the British Raj referred to Bhagat Singh, Chandrasekhar Azad and many other Indian freedom fighters as terrorists. These were Hindu and Sikh rather than Muslim.

Guerrilla fighters from Mao Zedong to Ho Chi Minh and Fidel Castro killed civilians during their revolutionary campaigns. They too were called terrorists until they triumphed. Nothing Muslim about them

In Palestine , after World War II, Jewish groups (the Haganah, Irgun and Stern Gang) fought for the creation of a Jewish state, bombing hotels and installations and killing civilians. The British, who then governed Palestine , rightly called these Jewish groups terrorists. Many of these terrorists later became leaders of independent Israel - Moshe Dayan, Yitzhak Rabin, Menachem Begin, Ariel Sharon. Ironically, these former terrorists then lambasted terrorism, applying this label only to Arabs fighting for the very same nationhood that the Jews had fought for earlier.

In Germany in 1968-92, the Baader-Meinhoff Gang killed dozens, including the head of Treuhand, the German privatization agency. In Italy , the Red Brigades kidnapped and killed Aldo Moro, former prime minister.

The Japanese Red Army was an Asian version of this. Japan was also the home of Aum Shinrikyo, a Buddhist cult that tried to kill thousands in the Tokyo metro system using nerve gas in 1995.

In Europe , the Irish Republican Army has been a Catholic terrorist organization for almost a century. Spain and France face a terrorist challenge from ETA, the Basque terrorist organization.

Africa is ravaged by so much civil war and internal strife that few people even bother to check which groups can be labeled terrorist. They stretch across the continent. Possibly the most notorious is the

Lord's Salvation Army in Uganda , a Christian outfit that uses children as warriors. While the West amplifies the plight Muslim Darfour region in the Sudan , the Western media has rellatively ignored this Christian sponsored conflict next door in Uganda and the Eastern Congo  that has done horrendous crimes against women and children.

Tamil Tigers have long constituted one of the most vicious and formidable terrorist groups in the world. They were the first to train children as terrorists. They happen to be Hindus. Suicide bombing is widely associated with Muslim Palestinians and Iraqis, but the Tamil Tigers were the first to use this tactic on a large scale and surprisingly more suicide bombings have been associated with Tiger (400+ in 2003-2007) than all bombings in Iraq and Afghanistan combined. One such suicide bomber assassinated Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi in 1991.

In India , the militants in Kashmir are Muslim. But they are only one of several militant groups. The Punjab militants, led by Bhindranwale, were Sikhs. The United Liberation Front of Assam is a Hindu terrorist group that targets Muslims rather than the other way round. Tripura has witnessed the rise and fall of several terrorist groups, and so have Bodo strongholds in Assam . Christian Mizos mounted an insurrection for decades, and Christian Nagas are still heading militant groups.

But most important of all are the Maoist terrorist groups that now exist in no less than 150 out of India 's 600 districts. They have attacked police stations, and killed and razed entire villages that oppose them. These are secular terrorists (like the Baader Meinhof Gang or Red Brigades). In terms of membership and area controlled, secular terrorists are far ahead of Muslim terrorists.

In sum, terrorism is certainly not a Muslim monopoly.
There are or have been terrorist groups among Christians, Jews, Hindus, Sikhs, and even Buddhists. Secular terrorists (anarchists, Maoists) have been the biggest killers in India .

Why then is there such a widespread impression that most or all terrorist groups are Muslim? I see two reasons. First, the Indian elite keenly and blindly follows the western media (they are the Brown British of the British Raj today, used to eating Roti and Roast Beef and BigMacs), and the West feels under attack from Islamic groups.
Catholic Irish terrorists have killed far more people in Britain than Muslims, yet the subway bombings in London and Madrid are what Europeans remember today. The Baader Meinhof Gang, IRA and Red Brigades no longer pose much of a threat, but after 9/11 Americans and Europeans fear that they could be hit anywhere anytime. So they focus attention on Islamic militancy. They pay little notice to other forms of terrorism in Africa, Sri Lanka or India : these pose no threat to the West.

Within India , Maoists pose a far greater threat than Muslim militants in 150 districts, one-third of India 's area. But major cities feel threatened only by Muslim groups. So the national elite and media focus overwhelmingly on Muslim terrorism. The elite are hardly aware that this is an elite phenomenon.
The real threat to India today are the Maouist groups who are getting bigger in numbers, exponentially, now being joined also by poor Muslims youth especially in South India.

“First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they break your bones, then you win"  Mahatma Gandh
Terrorism is not a new phenomenon of the last few decades. It just has acquired a newer flavour.
It was there when man lived in caves, to the Middle Ages, to the classical Egyptian/Greek/Roman empires, to the European colonial era, to communist era, to the Nazis, to apartheid era, and today.
When we talk about terrorism it is not only by a group of individuals but also the states.
Since mankind started to live in communities it found a need to establish law and order in order to provide equity amongst the individuals sharing common resources. When this social order establishes injustices and ignores the inherent rights of others and disenfranchises the weak, then there are always a few who would take the law into their own hands without the consent of the community because the community has been rendered impotent by the greed of the most powerful.
When such disenfranchised groups get organized, both the powerful elite and the group of angry individuals have a showdown.
This is when both the parties lose their moral values of human decency on the pretext that "the end justifies the means" and this is when the innocent civilians get caught in the fight as the so called "co-lateral damage".
This carnage of the civilians in their midst continues until the injustices are addressed by the reasonable and thinking people and communities of the world.
For that reason the root of the post war resurgence in terrorism, whether one likes it or not, started and happens to be the plight of the six million Palestinians (both 15% Christians and 85% Muslims) who have been made homeless and humiliated for the last six decades or more and the unconditional support given to the state of Israel by some of the guilt ridden leadership in Europe, US and in the West, because of Europe's Nazi past.
The fact that these "terrorists" are born in the Muslims homes is incidental because Palestine has evoked natural sympathies from Muslims youth of the world in the beginning but now has evoked the same sympathies (the Gaza Flotilla)  from the previously indiffernt youth of the West too who were not only brought up in Christian homes but also in the Jewish homes too.
Remember that apartheid South Africa collapsed not only when the disenfranchised poor black communities were marching and protesting on the streets but when the youth of the world started marching with them in their own cities of the world in the seventies and eighties.
Also, more importantly, apartheid regime collapsed because the children of the white parents who supported apartheid in S Africa also started questioning their parents' crimes against humanity such that it not only bankrupted South Africa   but also  began to tear apart their white family structure

Food Fighters: Yogurt, Cranberries, Rice/Bran Oil Lower BP

Food Fighters: Yogurt, Cranberries, Rice/Bran Oil Lower BP
September 20, 2012 (Washington, DC) — Including foods such as low-fat yogurt, sesame/rice-bran oils, and low-calorie cranberry juice in the diet can help keep blood pressure under control, according to three new studies presented as posters at the American Heart Association High Blood Pressure Research 2012 Scientific Sessions , this week [1,2,3]. And the rice/bran oil also helped lower LDL cholesterol and triglycerides and increased levels of HDL cholesterol, the meeting heard.
Asked to comment on the findings for heartwire , chair of the AHA's nutrition committee Dr Rachel Johnson (University of Vermont, Burlington) said: "These results, the three abstracts together, very much reinforce the DASH diet--which the AHA supports--as an effective dietary intervention to lower blood pressure and a heart-healthy way to eat."
DASH recommends two to three servings of fat-free or low-fat milk and milk products per day, four to five servings of fruit a day, and two to three servings of "healthy" fats and oils, "and certainly sesame/rice-bran oil, which contains polyunsaturated fatty acids and is rich in antioxidants, would be classified as a healthy fat," she observes.
Yogurt: Keep It Low in Fat and Sugar
The yogurt research was presented by Dr Huifen Wang (Tufts University, Boston, MA), who together with colleagues examined the effects of consuming low-fat yogurt in just over 2000 adults participating in the Framingham Heart Study Offspring Cohort. Participants, who did not have hypertension at baseline, were said to be "consumers" if they ate one or more servings of yogurt per month, as noted by a food frequency questionnaire. Of those in the study, 44% were yogurt consumers at the beginning, and this increased over the 14 years of follow-up. There were 913 people who developed incident hypertension over the course of the study.
Yogurt can be an effective way to add milk or dairy products to your diet.
Those who ate >2% of total calories from yogurt (the high-intake group, representing one six-ounce cup of low-fat yogurt every three days) had about a 30% lower risk of incident hypertension than nonconsumers (OR 0.69, after adjustment for demographic and lifestyle factors and cholesterol medication use). The high-intake group also had 0.19-mm-Hg smaller annualized elevation of systolic BP than nonconsumers (p=0.04).
Johnson says: "Yogurt can be an effective way to add milk or dairy products to your diet, because many people do not come close to meeting those recommendations for two to three servings per day. The yogurt study reinforces what we already know about the role of dairy products." However, she cautions that care must be taken regarding the amount of sugar in yogurt: "We know that added sugars have the opposite effect on BP, so you need to watch the amount of sugar, and some yogurts are high in sugar."
Cranberry Juice an Option for a Fruit or Vegetable Portion
In a second study, researchers from the US Department of Agriculture, led by Dr Janet A Novotny, gave low-calorie cranberry juice or a color/flavor/calorie-matched placebo beverage to 56 adult volunteers, incorporated into a controlled diet for eight weeks. At the end of the study, when BP values were compared with baseline, cranberry juice was associated with a significant decrease in diastolic BP (p=0.049) and a trend toward decreased systolic BP, while the placebo was associated with no change from baseline.
You can use cranberry juice or cranberries, which are rich in potassium and antioxidants, to meet that recommendation to eat plenty of fruits and vegetables.
Johnson observes that this was "a small study" and some key details are missing, such as the amount of cranberry juice consumed. Nevertheless, "It does show that you can use cranberry juice or cranberries, which are rich in potassium and antioxidants, to meet that recommendation to eat plenty of fruits and vegetables," she says. She notes also that low-calorie cranberry juice was employed in this study, "which I would certainly recommend. Cranberries are quite sour tasting, so they really do need to be sweetened to make them palatable, and full-calorie cranberry juice can be quite high in added sugars."
Blend of Sesame/Rice-Bran Oil Drops BP and Improve Lipids
Finally, Dr Devarajan Sankar (Fukuoka University Hospital, Fukuoka, Japan) and colleagues conducted a prospective, randomized open-label dietary-intervention study in 300 hypertensive patients in New Delhi, India, randomizing them to one of three groups: the calcium-channel blocker (CCB) nifedipine 30 mg/day; 35 g/day of a blend of sesame and rice-bran oil (trademark Vivo); or nifedipine plus sesame-oil blend for 60 days.
The CCB, sesame oil, and combination of the two induced significant falls in systolic BP (-16.2 mm Hg, -14 mm Hg, and -36 mm Hg, respectively) and in diastolic BP (-12 mm Hg, -10.8 mm Hg, and -23.8 mm Hg), respectively, over the course of the study. The combination resulted in such a remarkable drop in BP that the dose of nifedipine had to be reduced. And those using the oil saw a 26% fall in LDL and a 9.5% increase in HDL cholesterol.
"We have demonstrated, for the first time, that dietary interventions with blends of sesame and rice-bran oils lower BP and lipids in hypertensive individuals," say Sankar et al. However, they note that further studies of the oil--which was made specifically for this study and is not marketed commercially--are needed.
The yogurt study was funded by a research grant from Dannon and the cranberry study by Ocean Spray Cranberries. Sankar et al report no conflicts of interest.

> existence of Health Sciences Institute is so vital to Americans like you,
> it's the incredible story behind the Graviola tree.
>
> The truth is stunningly simple:
> Deep within the Amazon
> Rainforest grows a tree that could literally revolutionize what you, your
> doctor,
> and the rest of the world thinks about cancer treatment and chances of
> survival.
> The future has never looked more promising.
> *
> *Research shows that with extracts from this miraculous tree it now may be
> possible to:
> * Attack cancer safely and effectively with an all-natural therapy that
> does not cause extreme nausea, weight loss and hair loss
> * Protect your immune system and avoid deadly infections
> * Feel stronger and healthier throughout the course of the treatment
> * Boost your energy and improve your outlook on life
>
> The source of this information is just as stunning: It comes from one of
> America 's largest drug manufacturers, the fruit of over 20 laboratory
> tests conducted since the 1970's!
> What those tests revealed was nothing short of mind numbing...
> Extracts from the tree were shown to:
>
> * Effectively target and kill malignant cells in 12 types of cancer,
> including colon, breast, prostate, lung and pancreatic cancer..
> * The tree compounds proved to be up to 10,000 times stronger in slowing
> the growth of cancer cells than Adriamycin, a commonly used
> chemotherapeutic drug!
> * What's more, unlike chemotherapy, the compound extracted from the
> Graviola tree selectively hunts down and kills only cancer cells. It does
> not harm healthy cells! The amazing anti-cancer properties of the Graviola
> tree have been extensively researched--
> so why haven't you heard anything about it?
> If Graviola extract is as half as promising as it appears to be-- why
> doesn't every single oncologist at every major hospital insist on using it
> on all his or her patients?
>
> The spine-chilling answer illustrates just how easily our health-- and for
> many, our very lives(!)--are controlled by money and power.
>
> Graviola--the plant that worked too well
>
> One of America 's biggest billion-dollar drug makers began a search for a
> cancer cure and their research centered on Graviola, a legendary healing
> tree from the Amazon Rainforest.
>
> Variou s parts of the Graviola tree--including the bark, leaves, roots,
> fruit and fruit-seeds- -have been used for centuries by medicine men and
> native Indians in South America to treat heart disease, asthma, liver
> problems and arthritis.
> Going on very little documented scientific evidence, the company poured
> money and resources into testing the tree's anti-cancerous properties-- and
> were shocked by the results. Graviola proved itself to be a cancer-killing
> dynamo.
> *
>
> *But that's where the Graviola story nearly ended.
>
> The company had one huge problem with the Graviola tree--it's completely
> natural, and so, under federal law, not patentable. There's no way to make
> serious profits from it.
>
> It turns out the drug company invested nearly seven years trying to
> synthesize two of the Graviola tree's most powerful anti-cancer
> ingredients. If they could isolate and produce man-made clones of what
> makes the Graviola so potent, they'd be able to patent it and make their
> money back. Alas, they hit a brick wall. The original simply could not be
> replicated. There was no way the company could protect its profits--or even
> make back the millions it poured into research.
>
> As the dream of huge profits evaporated, their testing on Graviola came to
> a screeching halt. Even worse, the company shelved the entire project and
> chose not to publish the findings of its research!
>
> Luckily, however, there was one scientist from the Graviola research team
> whose conscience wouldn't let him see such atrocity committed. Risking his
> career, he contacted a company that's dedicated to harvesting medical
> plants from the Amazon Rainforest and blew the whistle.
>
> Miracle unleashedWhen researchers at the Health Sciences Institute were
> alerted to the news of Graviola, they began tracking the research done on
> the cancer-killing tree.
>
> Evidence of the astounding effectiveness of Graviola--and its shocking
> cover-up--came in fast and furious....
>
> .....The National Cancer Institute performed the first scientific research
> in 1976.
> The results showed that Graviola's "leaves and stems were found effective
> in attacking and destroying malignant cells." Inexplicably, the results
> were published in an internal report and never released to the public...
>
> ....Since 1976, Graviola has proven to be an immensely potent cancer killer
> in 20 independent laboratory tests, yet no double-blind clinical trials--
> the typical benchmark mainstream doctors and journals use to judge a
> treatment's value- -were ever initiated..
> *
>
> *A study published in the Journal of Natural Products, following a recent
> study conducted at Catholic University of South Korea stated that one
> chemical in Graviola was found to selectively kill colon cancer cells at
> "10,000 times the potency of (the **commonly used chemotherapy drug)
> Adriamycin.. ."
>
> .....The most significant part of the Catholic University of South Korea
> report is that Graviola was shown to selectively target the cancer cells,
> leaving healthy cells untouched.Unlike chemotherapy, which indiscriminately
> targets all actively reproducing cells (such as stomach and hair cells),
> causing the often devastating side effects of nausea and hair loss in
> cancer patients.
>
> ....A study at Purdue University recently found that leaves from the
> Graviola tree killed cancer cells among six human cell lines and were
> especially effective against prostate, pancreatic and lung cancers...
> Seven years of silence broken--it's finally here!
>
> A limited supply of Graviola extract, grown and harvested by indigenous
> people in Brazil , is finally available in America .
>

> *The 13 Most Powerful Super Foods *
>
>
> Why Are They So Super?
> Ask five nutritionists to rate the 13 most powerful foods and you'll get
> five different lists, but many of the selections will overlap. Why? Because
> every food provides something different: Some are a rich source of protein
> or fibre but void of many vitamins and minerals, while others contain
> disease-fighting phytonutrients, vitamins and minerals, but no protein. The
> trick, claim experts, is to get a variety of the best foods. The following
> 13 power foods are a good place to start.
> *Avocados*
>
> *Sure they're high in fat, but avocados contain healthful monounsaturated
> fat, which has been linked to a reduced risk of cancer, heart disease, and
> diabetes. "Avocados aid in blood and tissue regeneration, stabilize blood
> sugar, and are excellent for heart disorders," says Ed Bauman, Ph.D.,
> director of Bauman College . They're loaded with fiber (11 to 17 grams per
> fruit) and are a good source of lutein, an antioxidant linked to eye and
> skin health**.** *
> **
> *Apples *
> *"An apple a day really does keep the doctor away," says Jonny Bowden,
> Ph.D., C.N.S., author of The 150 Healthiest Foods on Earth. Apples are
> loaded with the powerful antioxidants quercetin and catechin, which protect
> cells from damage - that means a reduced risk of cancer and cardiovascular
> disease, especially if you eat the skin. Research shows that the apple peel
> contains five times more polyphenols than the flesh. Apples and their skins
> pack a lot of fibre too (about twice that of other common fruits, including
> peaches, grapes, and grapefruit), which may help fight the battle of the
> bulge. *
> **
> *Blueberries *
>
> *Antiaging superstars, blueberries are loaded with antioxidants, especially
> anthocyanins, which have been shown to improve vision and brain function.
> Studies show that eating blueberries slows impairments in motor
> coordination and memory that accompany aging. These little berries also
> reduce inflammation, which is inextricably linked with virtually every
> chronic disease from Alzheimer's and Parkinson's, to diabetes and heart
> disease. Other studies show that blueberries have much greater anticancer
> activity than other fruits.
> *
> *Cabbage *
>
> *In the vegetable world, the Brassica genus reigns supreme, and the cabbage
> is the most impressive of the lot. Brassica vegetables (including broccoli,
> bok choy) contain compounds called indoles, which have been shown to reduce
> the risk of cancer dramatically. "Eating cabbage more than once a week cut
> men's colon cancer odds by 66 percent," says Bauman. "Cabbage also
> stimulates the immune system, kills bacteria and viruses, and is a good
> blood purifier." If you go for the red variety, you'll also get a healthy
> dose of anthocyanins (the same pigment molecules that make blueberries
> blue), another powerful antioxidant with an anticancer punch.
> *
> *Fish and Fish Oil *
> *Eating fish helps cut the risk of heart disease, cancer, Alzheimer's,
> stroke, diabetes, and arthritis. The fatty varieties may also help
> alleviate depression. The American Heart Association recommends that adults
> eat at least two fish meals per week, especially wild salmon, herring, and
> sardines, because those varieties provide the most heart-healthy omega 3s.
> Avoid mercury-containing varieties like shark, swordfish, king mackerel,
> tilefish, and albacore tuna, says Roberta Anding, M.S., R.D., national
> spokesperson for the American Dietetic Association. (Chunk light tuna is
> okay.)*
>
> *Garlic *
>
> *Research shows that garlic lowers total cholesterol and triglyceride
> (blood fat) levels, helping prevent clogged arteries. "Two to three cloves
> a day cut the odds of subsequent heart attacks in half for heart disease
> patients," says Bauman. "Garlic also tops the National Cancer Institute's
> list of potential cancer-preventive foods." Whole baked garlic helps
> detoxify the body of heavy metals like mercury (from fish) and cadmium.
> Garlic also acts as an antibacterial and antiviral, boosting resistance to
> stress-induced colds and infections. Can't stand garlic breath? Chew on a
> sprig of parsley.
> *
> *Mushrooms *
>
> *Used for centuries in Eastern medicine, mushrooms have powerful effects on
> the immune system - especially the maitake, shiitake, and reishi varieties.
> "Mushrooms such as maitake help prevent and treat cancer, viral diseases,
> high cholesterol, and high blood pressure," says Bauman. In fact, mushrooms
> are used as an adjunctive cancer treatment throughout Asia because of their
> ability to counteract the toxic effects of chemotherapy and radiation while
> simultaneously shrinking tumors. What's more, Japanese researchers have
> found that regularly eating shiitake mushrooms lowers blood cholesterol
> levels up to 45 percent.
> *
> *Almonds *
>
> *Almonds are loaded with fiber and monounsaturated fat, both of which have
> been shown to lower cholesterol. According to the Food and Drug
> Administration, eating 1.5 ounces of most nuts, including almonds, as part
> of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol may reduce the risk of heart
> disease. And even though almonds are relatively high in fat and calories,
> studies show that eating almonds can actually help with weight loss (their
> protein, fiber, and monounsaturated fats provide the feeling of fullness,
> preventing overeating).
> *
> *Eggs *
>
> *The best protein source on the planet, eggs consistently outrank milk,
> beef, whey, and soy in the quality of protein they provide. In addition to
> containing all nine essential amino acids, eggs are loaded with nutrients.
> "And for God's sake, eat the yolks," says Bowden. People avoid the yolks
> because they fear cholesterol, but egg yolks contain choline, which helps
> protect heart and brain function and prevents cholesterol and fat from
> accumulating in the liver.
> *
> *Flaxseeds *
>
> *Loaded with alpha-linolenic acid, an essential fatty acid that helps
> reduce inflammation, flaxseed has been used for centuries for medicinal and
> health reasons. Gandhi himself proclaimed, "Wherever flaxseed becomes a
> regular food item among the people, there will be better health." Bauman
> adds, "The seed itself has terrific nutritional value, very usable protein,
> tremendous fatty acids, and minerals like magnesium, potassium, and zinc."
> Additionally, they're a great source of fiber.
> *
> *Pomegranates *
>
> *Pomegranates have up to three times the antioxidants of red wine and green
> tea - and the juice has been shown to reduce artery-clogging plaque, which
> in turn prevents heart disease and stroke. Research shows that long-term
> consumption of pomegranate juice may also help slow aging and protect
> against cancer.
> *
> *Red Wine *
>
> *A small amount of any kind of alcohol each day does your heart good by
> increasing HDL cholesterol and reducing the risk of blood clots. "Red wine
> also contains powerful antioxidants, reservatrol and saponins, which may
> provide additional cardiovascular benefits," says Anding. Resist a refill,
> however: More than one drink daily has been linked to high blood pressure.
> *
> *Dark Chocolate *
>
> *When it comes to chocolate, bitter is better - at least in terms of
> health. The benefits of chocolate come from flavonols and antioxidants (the
> same disease-fighting chemicals found in cranberries, apples, strawberries,
> and red wine). The caveat: Only real cacao contains flavonols, so look for
> chocolate that boasts a high percentage of cacao (60 percent or more). Dark
> chocolate also has fewer calories than other varieties, and when eaten in
> moderation, it lowers unhealthy LDL cholesterol and prevents plaque from
> building up in your arteries.*
